Why Ongoing Website Support Matters: China Fleet Case Study

July 7, 2025

In today’s fast-moving digital world, a website is never truly finished. The most successful businesses treat their websites as evolving platforms, designed to grow alongside their customers’ needs and expectations.

At GSL Media, we believe in building long-term partnerships with our clients to ensure their websites continue to deliver real value well beyond the initial launch. A great example of this approach is our ongoing collaboration with China Fleet Country Club.

A Website That Evolves with the Business

China Fleet is more than a leisure club. It is a diverse destination offering everything from golf and spa experiences to accommodation and family-friendly facilities. With such a wide range of services, the team at the Club understands the importance of maintaining a digital presence that reflects the same high-quality, in-person experience they offer every day.

To bring this to life, we have introduced a special Ask a Client section, featuring insights directly from the team at China Fleet. They share why they continue to invest in the ongoing development of their website and what that working relationship looks like in practice.

Ask a Client: China Fleet Country Club

What made you decide to keep developing and improving your website rather than leaving it as a finished project?

“Our customer needs evolve, digital trends shift, and the way people engage with us online keeps changing. The website is often the first impression people get of the Club. We regard this as our ‘shop window’ so it is important it reflects the same high standards and warm welcome they would experience when they visit us. We view our website as an ongoing extension of the Club’s services and experiences.”

What kind of improvements have you been focusing on recently with the website?

“Recently, we have been focusing on improving the user experience, particularly around mobile navigation and booking functionalities. We have made it easier for visitors and members to find information quickly, check availability, and make reservations, whether it is for golf, the Aqua Spa, or a stay in our apartments. Visual updates have also been a priority, ensuring the site reflects our facilities and the beautiful location.”

How have those updates made a difference for your members and visitors?

“They find the site quicker to navigate and more intuitive to use. Whether it is checking opening times, viewing events, or managing bookings, it is easier now. We have noticed a reduction in enquiries and a rise in direct bookings, which suggests people are finding what they need without needing to call or email.”

What is it like working with the GSL Media team on an ongoing basis?

“Working with GSL Media is a partnership. They understand our brand, our values, and the kind of experience we want to deliver online. It is a collaboration, and their support is really valued.”

If someone was thinking about updating their website, what would you tell them about working with GSL Media?

“We would absolutely recommend them. GSL Media are really approachable and creative. More than that, they take the time to get to know your business and your goals. If you are looking to modernise your website while staying true to who you are as a brand, they are a great team to help with this.”

Long-Term Website Success Comes from a Long-Term Mindset

Our work with China Fleet shows that ongoing development is not just about keeping up with technology. It is about strengthening customer engagement, reducing friction, and staying aligned with the business’s evolving goals.

Whether you manage a leisure club, a retail business, or a corporate brand, your website should grow as your business grows. If you are ready to explore what ongoing support could look like for you, we would love to hear from you.
