Fourdot are a company that offer unique custom number plates for high end vehicles. Initially the website was built on an Opencart solution which the company outgrew as the business developed. Elements of the website were also unresponsive to tablets and mobiles. There was lack of conversion in the UX and with an evident hole in the market, Fourdot needed to capitalise on a larger return from their online presence.
GSL redeveloped an eCommerce website on WooCommerce to be consistent with the holding company’s other three websites. The configurator was redeveloped so that it was responsive across all devices. It allows a customer to select a vehicle, customise colours and graphics, preview the plate on the selected vehicle and finally process an order.
The website integrates into Fourdot’s manufacturing system and database for pulling the vehicles model data. It also offers some very stylised brand showcase pages and informative information to demonstrate the companies offering and experience. The company have custom order management statuses to improve order processing and customer management.
As with their other websites, the solution is now self-hosted by the client ensuring ownership and control. The website offers a seamless journey for users who want to customise their number plates, offering full control for design style whilst ensuring the number plate is compliant with UK law. There is also increased conversion by the implementation of set products for all vehicles.
