Kawasaki is a total system engineering company, leading the way in hydraulics and supplying equipment for a huge range of applications including industrial, construction and marine. Established in 1968 the Precision Machinery division of Kawasaki has been at the forefront of hydraulic technology and development for nearly 50 years.
The current website had become outdated and was not easily accessible by the client. The website was built on a custom solution and the supplier held the intellectual property rights to that solution, hampering edits and updates, with any changes being timely and costly. This was creating increasing problems for the client in terms of digital presence and performance as they could not facilitate the correct campaigns and were tied to a supplier that didn’t have the appropriate support to maintain the website, which meant they were falling behind the market and their competitors.
Kawasaki Precision Machinery required an update to the website which included much greater functionality control and ownership. Changes to improve the website included a client zone portal and parts authentication that was both easy to manage and offering informative and useful documentation to their clients.
GSL worked with MyKreative to implement a new design into the WordPress framework which effectively incorporates the Kawasaki branding whilst bringing the website up to date. The site has a range of informational pages formulated into an ecommerce like process, which are easy to navigate from a client perspective, with a logical UX route for finding products, whilst also being intuitive and easy to manage and update internally.
Working alongside MyKreative as the digital partner both companies were able to provide a solution that offer a far better UX and brand appropriate style.
The new website provides greater control to Kawasaki that they retain ownership of and manage their own hosting solution. They can make amends internally and rely on GSL as a support arm that improves and resolves functionality within a fast response window.
Since the website has gone live the enquiry level has increased and existing customers are utilizing the resource portal effectively giving them quick and easy access to global and personal files.
The partnership approach between GSL and MyKreative gave us both technical and creative expertise and this was super beneficial to our business. Our new website ticks all our requirements and more and we could not be happier with the results. We finally have a website that reflects the function and branding we needed. We feel comfortable with knowing we own our website which was a big factor for us. Our enquires are consistently growing and I have no doubt that is down to diligent input from both parties.
